ContentsBy way of a Statutory Notification published in the Selangor State Government Gazette No.2540 dated 23rd July 2009, the Selangor State Government announced its intention to compulsorily acquire all that piece of land measuring 4,121 sq metres or 1.018 acres (“the Subject Land”) located on the front of The Summit Subang USJ for purposes of the extension of Light Rail Transit (LRT) (‘Projek Sambungan Light Rail Transit (LRT) Kelana Jaya (Fasa II), Daerah Petaling) under the Land Acquisition Act, 1960 (“the Act”). The Subject Land comprises 159 accessory parcels in the form of car park bays attached to the two plots of land that belong to and are owned by AmFIRST REIT.

As manager of AmFIRST REIT, Am ARA REIT Managers Sdn Bhd (“the Manager”) had received, on 13 January 2010, a written notice from Jabatan Ketua Pengarah Tanah Dan Galian (Persekutuan) Negeri Selangor to attend an inquiry to be held on 26 January 2010.

On behalf of AMFIRST REIT, the Manager will be submitting a claim for compensation in accordance with the Act and attending the inquiry. The Manager will make further announcement in due course.
