Axis-REIT Managers Berhad ("ARMB") wishes to announce that the level of public unitholding spread of Axis Real Estate Investment Trust ("Axis-REIT") as at 31 December 2006 is as follows:
a) % of public unitholdings : 52.55
b) Number of public unitholders holding not less than 100 units : 925
An announcement on the notification of shortfall in public unitholding spread had been made on 3 October 2006 and an extension of time of six (6) months had been automatically granted to Axis-REIT commencing from 3 October 2006 until 2 April 2007.
ARMB had on 30 October 2006 announced that Axis-REIT proposed to undertake a placement of up to 50,000,000 new units, an exercise of which is expected to rectify the shortfall in public unitholding spread of Axis-REIT but pending the aaproval of the Securities Commission.
