- We refer to the query dated 14 May 2007 from Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad with regard to the above article appearing in The Star, Bizweek section, page BW9 on 12 May 2007, in particular, the following sentence:
“… UEM Builders could divest its stakes in … Costain Group plc..."
The Company continually evaluates our investment portfolios. We are currently evaluating the options available with regard to our investment in Costain Group Plc and no final decision has been made to date. Should there be any change to the status, the Company will make the announcement to Bursa Malaysia at the appropriate time.

on Saturday, 12 May 2007, a copy of which is enclosed for your reference.
In particular, we would like to draw your attention to the underlined sentence,
which is reproduced as follows:-
