We refer to the Exchange's query dated 14 July 2003 on the abovementioned Article entiteld:"Maju shopping for three colleges" appearing in The Sun, Business Section on 14 July 2003.
The Company, after making due and diligent inquiry of the directors, major shareholders and officers of the Company who have knowledge of the facts, wishes to inform that the Company is not aware of any proposed acquisition of Universiti Tun Abdul Razak Sdn Bhd ("UNITAR"), the wholly-owned subsidiary of the Company by Maju Holdings Sdn Bhd.

We refer to the above news article appearing in The Sun, Business Section,
pages 13 and 14 on Monday, 14 July 2003, a copy of which is enclosed for your
reference.
In particular, we would like to draw your attention to the underlined sentence,
which is reproduced as follows:-
" ... Maju Holdings Sdn Bhd is looking to acquire ... Universiti Tun Abdul
Razak ... "
