The Exchange’s letter dated 17 November 2003 (ref: HY-031117-34075) referred.
The Board of Directors of the Company wishes to confirm the statement reported in the article appearing in StarBiz on 14 November 2003 which stated that “Felcra… would be entering into a joint venture with Hoest (S.E.A.) Sdn Bhd…”
The Board wishes to advise the Exchange that the Proposed Acquisition of 51% equity in Gagnar Bio-Tech (M) Sdn Bhd (“Proposed Acquisition”) had not been completed as at to-date, and the proposed Joint Venture Agreement between Felcra Berhad and Hoest (S.E.A.) Sdn Bhd had not been executed as at to-date.
The Board will make the necessary announcement of the details of the proposed Joint Venture to the Exchange for public release upon completion of the Proposed Acquisition and execution of the said Joint Venture Agreement.
This announcement is dated 18 November 2003.

We refer to the above article appearing in StarBiz, on Friday, 14 November
2003, page News 3, a copy of which is enclosed for your reference.
In particular, we would like to draw your attention to the underlined sentence,
which is reproduced as follows:-
