We refer to the Kuala Lumpur Stock Exchange ("KLSE") letter dated 6 November 2003 on the unusual market activity.
Pursuant to Paragraph 9.11 of the Exchange's Corporate Disclosure Policy on Response to Unusual Market Activity, the Board of Directors of CEPCO after having made due enquiry, wishes to advise that, to the best of their knowledge, they are not aware of any of the following:-
1. There is no material development in the Company's business and affairs that has not been previously disclosed to the Exchange;
2. Save for the changes in the directors', ie the appointment of Y.Bhg. Dato’ Haji Abu Mansor bin Ali and the announcement of the Fourth Quarter results which have been announced accordingly on the 23 October 2003 and 31 October 2003 respectively, the Directors have no knowledge of any impending change in the directors' or any changes in the financial period result;
We also wish to inform that to CEPCO's knowledge, there are no other situations/events that may have contributed to the unusual market action activities in CEPCO's shares during the period in question and CEPCO is not aware of any rumour report (whether true or false) which contains information which is likely to have an effect on the trading of CEPCO's securities.
