The Company wishes to inform the Exchange that the statement made by the Company's Managing Director, Mr Gun Seong Thean on 22 September 2000 in regard to a question raised by The Star's reporter on the Company's coming year profit expectation was as follows, and not as reported in The Star newspaper on 23 September 2000 :-
"We hope to see an increase in the pre-tax profit by 10 percent to over RM9.0 million in the financial year ended 31 March 2001 from RM8.5 million achieved previously."
Please be informed that the Company has written to The Star requesting them to rectify the statement made by Mr Gun. Enclosed herewith is the facsimile dated 25 September 2000 transmitted to The Star on even date which is self explanatory for your attention :-

We refer to the above article appearing in The Star, Business Section, page 4,
on Saturday, 23 September 2000, a copy of which is enclosed for your reference.
In particular, we would like to draw your attention to the underlined sentence
which is reproduced as follows:
"We are confident of increasing our profit by at least 15% for the current
financial year".
