We refer to the First Announcements made by the Company on 17 May 2019 and 21 May 2019 and the monthly announcements made on 3 June 2019, 1 July 2019, 1 August 2019, 3 September 2019, 1 October 2019 and 1 November 2019 (“Monthly Announcements”) in relation to the Company being classified as an affected listed issuer under PN17. Unless otherwise defined, the definitions set out in the First Announcements and Monthly Announcements shall apply herein.

The Board of Directors of Barakah had, on 31 October 2019, announced that the external auditors of the Company, Messrs. Crowe Malaysia PLT, had expressed a disclaimer of opinion in the Company’s audited financial statements for the financial year ended 30 June 2019. In view of the above, and pursuant to Paragraph 8.04 and PN17 of the Listing Requirements, we wish to announce that Barakah has further triggered the prescribed criteria under Paragraph 2.1(d) of PN17 of the Listing Requirements.

The Board of Directors wishes to inform that the Company is in the midst of formulating a plan to regularise its financial conditions (“Regularisation Plan”). The Company has approximately five (5) months to submit its Regularisation Plan to the relevant authorities for approval.

Further announcement will be made to Bursa Securities with regards to the development of the Regularisation Plan in due course.
