We refer to your query dated 20 March 2000 in respect of the abovecaptioned matter.
Camerlin Group Berhad is unable to comment on any negotiations entered into by Brierley Investments Limited which, as a public listed company, is required to make the appropriate announcements in accordance with the rules of the New Zealand Stock Exchange where it is currently listed.
This announcement is dated 21 March 2000.

We refer to the above article appearing in Bloomberg on Monday, 20 March 2000,
a copy of which is enclosed for your reference.
In particular, we would like to draw your attention to the underlined sentence,
which is reproduced as follows:-
"Brierley Investments Ltd. (A.BRY) confirmed it is in talks to sell part of
its 47.1% stake in Air New Zealand to Singapore Airlines. Camerlin owns a 20%
stake in Brierley."
