We refer to your letter of 23 November 2000, our reply on 24 November 2000 and your subsequent enquiry today for clarification in relation to the above article appearing in the New Straits Times, Business Section, page 25, on Friday 17 November 2000 in particular the following sentence :
"Abdullah said CI Holdings is now the controlling shareholder of KFCH"
We deny that we are the controlling sharehoder of KFCH. On 30 October 2000, C.I. Enterprise Sdn Bhd, a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Company has submitted its Form 29A to notify KFCH and the KLSEof its substantial shareholding in KFCH which we believe is the single largest block representing approximately 30% of the equity of KFCH.

Section, page 25, on Friday, 17 November 2000, a copy of which is enclosed for
