QualificationsGraduated from the University of New South Wales, Australia with a Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) degree and a Masters degree in Engineering from the University of Newcastle, Australia.
Working experience and occupation Dato’ Tan Heng Chew was the first director of Warisan TC Holdings Berhad (“WTCH”) when it was incorporated on 26 March 1997 and was appointed the Chairman of the Board on 1 November 1999.

Dato’ Tan joined the Tan Chong Motor Holdings Berhad Group of companies in 1970 and was instrumental in the establishment of its Autoparts Division in the 1970s and early 1980s.

Dato’ Tan sits on the Board of Tan Chong Motor Holdings Berhad as Executive Deputy Chairman and is also Chairman of APM Automotive Holdings Berhad. He is also a director and shareholder of Tan Chong Consolidated Sdn Bhd, a major shareholder of WTCH.

Details of any interest in the securities of the listed issuer or its subsidiaries(i) Dato’ Tan Heng Chew has a direct interest of 2,453,333 ordinary shares of RM1.00 each in WTCH.

(ii) Dato’ Tan Heng Chew has deemed interest of 30,586,216 ordinary shares of RM1.00 each in WTCH comprised the following:-

• Deemed interest by virtue of Section 6A of the Companies Act, 1965 (“Act”) of 29,323,247 ordinary shares of RM1.00 each held through Tan Chong Consolidated Sdn Bhd (“TCC”) directly (21,748,570 shares), TCC indirectly through HSBC (Malaysia) Trustee Berhad (as to voting rights only) (5,352,577 shares), and Wealthmark Holdings Sdn Bhd (2,222,100 shares).

• Interest of spouse by virtue of Section 134(12)(c ) of the Act of 1,262,969 shares.

(iii) By virtue of his interests in WTCH, Dato' Tan Heng Chew is deemed to have an interest in shares in all the subsidiaries to the extent that WTCH has an interest.

Remarks :
With effect from 1 January 2011, Dato Tan Heng Chew's current position will be re-designated from "Chairman" to "Executive Chairman".
