We refer to the following made in relation to the Proposed Exemption: (a) announcement dated 17 July 2012; (b) circular to shareholders dated 22 November 2012; and (c) announcement dated 10 December 2012 in respect of the outcome of the meeting for the extraordinary general meeting. On behalf of the Board of Directors of Century, HwangDBS Investment Bank Berhad wishes to announce that an exemption application has been submitted to the Securities Commission today, for its consideration to exempt DPSM and the PACs, under Section 219 of the Capital Markets and Services Act 2007 and Practice Note 9, Paragraph 16.1(c) of the Malaysian Code on Take-Overs and Mergers 2010 from the obligation to undertake a mandatory offer for the remaining Century Shares not already held by DPSM and the PACs upon the exercise of their Warrants into new Century Shares.
