We refer to your letter of 18 January 2001 (Your ref: PL-010118-39006) regarding the news article appearing in The Sun, Sun Biz section, page 1, on 18 January 2001 entitled "Oriental in Talks to take over Peugeot franchise".

Oriental Group is constantly on the look out for business opportunities that will not only enhance our stockholders’ value whether in the medium term or long term but also businesses that will have synergistic effect with the present businesses of the Group, particularly those relating to the motor industry.

We refer to the above news article appearing in The Sun, Sun Biz section, page
1, on 18 January 2001, a copy of which is enclosed for your reference.
In particular, we would like to draw your attention to the underlined sentence
which is reproduced as follows:-
"... OHB is believed to be negotiating to take over the Peugeot franchise in
Malaysia which is held by MBf-Peugeot Sdn Bhd."
