We refer to your facsimile letter ZO-000428-61919 dated 28 April 2000 in respect of the above matter.
We wish to inform that the news article which appeared in the New Straits Times, Business Section, page 25 on 28 April 2000 appeared correct.
With regard to the foreign placement of shares, we wish to inform that our substantial shareholders viz.; Minister of Finance (Incorporated) [MOF (Inc.)] and Khazanah Nasional Berhad (Khazanah), which collectively would divest 20% of their equity holding in Malaysia Airports Holdings Berhad (MAHB) to the foreign institutional investors (proposed foreign offering), had agreed in writing to defer the proposed foreign offering from the first quarter of 2000 to a later date in the future.
Application for the deferment of the proposed foreign offering had been made to the Securities Commission on 18 March 2000 and their approval on this matter is still awaited.

Section, page 25, on Friday, 28 April 2000, a copy of which is enclosed for
your reference.
In particular, we would like to draw your attention to the underlined sentence
which is reproduced as follows:-
"THE foreign placement of Malaysia Airport Holdings Bhd shares will be
deferred until 'market conditions' permit..."
