FBO - NOTICE OF BOOK CLOSURE

FURQAN BUSINESS ORGANISATION BERHAD

LISTING'S CIRCULAR NO. L/Q : 52583 OF 2009

(i) Share capital reduction pursuant to Section 64(1) of the Companies Act, 1965 involving the cancellation of RM0.75 of the par value of each existing ordinary share of RM1.00 each in Furqan Business Organisation Berhad (“FBO”) (“Par Value Reduction”); and
(ii) Consolidation of every two (2) ordinary shares of RM0.25 each in FBO after the Par Value Reduction into one (1) new ordinary share of RM0.50 each (“Consolidated FBO Share”) (“Share Consolidation”) (collectively referred to as the “Capital Reorganisation”) .

Kindly be advised of the following :

1) The above Company's securities will be traded and quoted [ "Ex - Offer" ]
as from : [ 2 March 2009 ]

2) The last date of lodgement : [ 4 March 2009 ]

REMARKS :- Bursa Malaysia Securities Bhd would like to clarify that on the basis of settlement taking place on 5 March 2009 with share capital reduction and consolidation of FBO shares of RM0.50 each, any shareholder who is entitled to receive FBO share capital reduction and consolidation shares, may sell any or all of his FBO shares arising from the share capital reduction and consolidation shares beginning the Ex-Date ( 2 March 2009 ). For example, if Mr X purchases 1000 FBO shares on cum basis on 27 February 2009, Mr X should receive 1000 shares on 4 March 2009. As a result of the share capital reduction and consolidation shares, 500 FBO shares will be credited into Mr X's CDS account on the night of 4 March 2009 being the Book Closing Date. Therefore, Mr X can sell the share capital reduction and consolidation shares of 500 on or after the Ex-Date ie from 2 March 2009 onwards.
