Reference is made to JF TECH’s announcements on 20 June 2018, 7 March 2018, 23 January 2018, 9 January 2018, 11 September 2017, 6 September 2017, 3 July 2017, 28 September 2016, 12 August 2016, 21 April 2015, 7 August 2014 and 27 June 2014 in relation to a Complaint for Patent Infringement filed by JTI in the United States District Court for the Northern District of California (“the Court”) against the Defendant for the infringement of United States Patent No. 7,059,866 entitled "Integrated Circuit Test Contact to Test Apparatus" including the Court’s judgement dated 19 June 2018. The Board wishes to inform that the Court has made an order dated 6 August 2018 awarding JTI damages in the sum of USD1,514,299 and refusing JTI’s motion for attorney’s fees to be paid to JTI. The Defendant has given instructions to its US counsel to appeal against the judgement of the Court and, if necessary, to apply for a stay of enforcement of the judgement. The Board will make further announcement if there is any material update on the aforesaid case. This announcement is dated 7 August 2018. |
