| Contents | The Board of Directors of the Company refers to Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad's letter dated 17 September 2010 and wishes to provide the additional information as follows:- (1) The Writ and Statement of Claim (Kuala Lumpur High Court Suit No D-22IP-52-2010) was issued on 6 September 2010 and received by the Company on 7 September 2010. (2) Kabushiki Kaisha Nihon Micronics and ZMC Technologies (M) Sdn Bhd (“the Plaintiffs”) have alleged that Patent No MY-114589-A relates to the Company’s Lasak W-Series Test Pins and Lasak W-Series Test Contactors. The Company’s Lasak W-Series Test Pins and Lasak W-Series Test Contactors are not main products of the Company. (3) The Board of Directors of the Company do not see any immediate financial and/or operational impact on the group arising from the allegation as no interlocutory injunction against the group has been sought and no quantum has been specified in the Statement of Claim. For the moment, pending receipt of the expert witnesses’ reports, the Board of Directors of the Company believe that the Company has a defensible case against the Plaintiffs’ claim. Accordingly, at present, the Board of Directors of the Company do not expect any financial and/or operational impact on the Group arising from the allegation. |
| Query Letter Content | We refer to your Company's announcement dated 15 September 2010, in respect of the aforesaid matter. In this connection, kindly furnish Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad ("Bursa Securities") with the following additional information for public release:- The date when the Writ and Statement of Claim was issued and received by the Company; Whether Patent No MY-114589-A relates to the main product of the Company; and The financial and operational impact on the group, if any, arising from the allegation.
