| Working experience and occupation | Mr. Chan Kam Chiew joined KPMG in Kuala Lumpur in 1984. He was a Partner in the Assurance Services of KPMG Malaysia from 1998 until his retirement as a Senior Partner in December 2020. Kam Chiew had also served in KPMG San Francisco office from 1991 to 1993. Kam Chiew has over 36 years of experience in providing audit and business advisory services to clients in a wide range of industries. His portfolio of clients included a wide range of public listed companies and multinational corporations in various industries including those in automotive, real estate investments trust, property development and construction, oil and gas, electronics and information technology, freight and shipping, industrial manufacturing, food and beverages, retail and consumer and banking and financial services. In addition to statutory audits, he had led and been involved in assignments in relation to IFRS reviews, initial public offerings and reverse takeovers, mergers and acquisitions (including cross borders), financial due diligence reviews, provision of financial advisory services and review of policies and procedures. Kam Chiew had served on the Board of Malaysian Accounting Standards Board (MASB) for 2 terms from 2012 to 2018. He had also served as a member as well as chaired a few working groups of MASB and was an examiner for the Regulatory and Financial Reporting Framework examination for the MICPA. |

Mr. Chan Kam Chiew was appointed as an Independent Non-Executive Director of the Company on 12 May 2021. Article 83 of the Company's Constitution states that every director appointed shall hold office only until the conclusion of the next annual general meeting unless is re-elected. As the appointment of Mr. Chan Kam Chiew only took place after the notice of the 37th Annual General Meeting ("AGM") was sent out to the shareholders, his re-election as director was not in the Agenda of the AGM. Thus, pursuant to the operation of Article 83 of the Company's Constitution, Mr. Chan Kam Chiew has accordingly retired at the conclusion of the AGM held on 27 May 2021. The Board of Directors has passed a resolution to re-appoint Mr. Chan Kam Chiew as an Independent Non-Executive Director of the Company immediately after the conclusion of the AGM. |
