| Working experience and occupation | Chong Swee Ying ("Chong") has been on the Board of Directors for AEON CO. (M) BHD. since August 2018.
Chong's journey with AEON Co. (M) Bhd. began in 1985 as administrative staff. She swiftly rose through the ranks. In 1990, she was the pioneer staff selected to undergo a year-long on-job training in Japan. After heading various departments as Softline Group Leader, Hardline Merchandiser, Leasing Manager and Senior Manager of Shopping Centre Management, then in 2003, she was appointed as General Manager of various departments including Shopping Centre Management, New Business Development, Store Operations and Marketing. In 2011, she was appointed as Executive Director for Aeon Fantasy (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd and promoted to Managing Director a year later. In July 2018, she retired as Managing Director and served as Advisor to AEON Fantasy (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd for over three years.
She has over three decades of diverse experience in the retail business, property management and new business development, picking up numerous Executive of the Year awards along her way. |
