We refer to your letter dated 7 November 2003 with regard to the above news article appearing in The Star, Star Biz section, on Friday, 7 November 2003, drawing our attention to the underlined sentence in the said article, reproduced as follows:-
"MAGNUM Corp Bhd is believed to have signed an agreement with an Indonesian business group to run a numbers forecast operations (NFO) in Indonesia."
The Board of Magnum Corporation Berhad ("Magnum") wishes to announce that Magnum is constantly looking for opportunities to strengthen and expand its core gaming business within and outside Malaysia. In this regard, the Magnum Board wishes to confirm that Magnum is currently in negotiations with certain parties in relation to numbers forecast operations (NFO) business in Indonesia. In the event the negotiations are successful, an announcement will be released accordingly.

In particular, we would like to draw your attention to the underlined sentence,
which is reproduced as follows:-
