The Board of Directors of Cahya Mata Sarawak Berhad wishes to announce that the above article has been misquoted by The Sun in its Sun Biz Section on Tuesday, 14 March 2000. The article should read as follows:
"CMSB is negotiating to sell to Norway's Scancem International ANS (Scancem) up to 49% of its stake in its wholly owned subsidiary company, CMS Cement Sdn Bhd. A Memorandum of Understanding was signed with Scancem on 30 July 1999 for possible joint venture in the cement business and the terms of the said joint venture are still being finalised by both parties."

Tuesday, 14 March 2000, a copy of which is enclosed for your reference.
In particular, we would like to draw your attention to the underlined
sentences, which are reproduced as follows:-
"Cahya Mata Sarawak Berhad (CMSB) plans to buy a 49% equity in Scancern
International ANS of Norway, a subsidiary of the world's second largest cement
producer, Heidelberger of Germany."
"...it would be finalised by the end of this year."
