We refer to your letter dated 29 May, 2001 (Reference No. CY-010529-61332) pertaining to the above matter.

We wish to inform that MAS have not owned 33 per cent of the total paid-up share capital of Trifiniti Networks Sdn. Bhd. In this regards, we are not in the position to comments on the second item i.e "Speculation has been rife that Trifiniti might have ceased operations.....".

We refer to the above news article appearing in Business Times, pages 1 and 15
on Tuesday, 29 May 2001, a copy of which is enclosed for your reference.
In particular, we would like to draw your attention to the underlined
sentences, which are reproduced as follows:-
(1) "It is ... owned ... 33 per cent ... by Malaysia Airlines ..."
(2) "Speculation has been rife that Trifiniti might have ceased operations ..."
