We would like to clarify that we are not aware of the substantial off-market transactions in the shares of FG(M)B.

We refer to the above news article appearing in The Edge, Pages 1 and 6 on
Monday, 21 August 2000.
In particular, we would like to draw your attention to the following sentence
of the above article which is reproduced as follows:-

(Malaysia) Bhd have piqued the curiosity of market players. The transactions
have also sparked speculation about impending shareholding changes."
