We refer to the announcement made by Arab-Malaysian Merchant Bank Berhad on behalf of MCB on 15 December 2000 and the queries by the Kuala Lumpur Stock Exchange dated 20 December 2000. On behalf of MCB, we wish to furnish the following additional information in relation to the Proposed Acquisition:-
1. MCB will not assume any liabilities arising from the Proposed Acquisition.
3. The Proposed Acquisition is not subject to the approval of the shareholders of MCB.
