23 Nov 2012 MRCB prevails with Three Awards at the Editors Choice Property Awards 2012
MRCB was nominated at Editors Choice Property Awards 2012 by acquires three exclusive awards at Gala prestige dinner organised by Malaysian Reserve and Property Times at Sunway Resort Hotel and Spa, Petaling Jaya. MRCB won Best Green Office Development and Best Green Initiative for Platinum Sentral and the Best Integrated Development for year 2012 for Kuala Lumpur Sentral CBD was awarded.
 
 
21 Nov 2012 Mayor of Ipswich visit MRCB
MRCB welcomed honoured guests, Mayor of Ipswich from Australia to Kuala Lumpur Sentral. The programme is part of MRCB’s networking programme aimed at establishing affiliation with an international network for mutual exchange of property planning and construction knowledge. The Mayor, Mr. Paul Pisasale was accompanied by Mr. Cameron Price, journalist from property publications were brief on the development of Kuala Lumpur Sentral by by Pn. Nooraini Mohd Rashidi, Vice President of Property Development and En. Zamry Ibrahim, Marketing Director of Property Division.
 
 
1 Nov 2012 MRCB is finalist at NACRA 2012 Awards
MRCB was honoured with a certificate of merit by virtue of its being selected as one of the top finalists at the National Corporate Reporting Awards (NACRA) under the Bursa Malaysia’s Annual Report award category. This is the first time MRCB was selected as the finalist in the overall category. Previously, we have won three times under the Best CSR category namely 2008, 2009 and 2010.
 
 
18 Oct 2012 Platinum Sentral Wins The Edge-PAM Green Excellence Awards 2012
Platinum Sentral, a green building development located in the Kuala Lumpur Sentral development has been awarded the 2012 winner of The Edge-PAM Green Excellence Award, at an award ceremony held at Hilton KL. Developed by MRCB Sentral Properties Sdn Bhd, a subsidiary of Malaysian Resources Corporation Berhad (MRCB), Platinum Sentral is the first Platinum-rated BCA Green Mark (Singapore) Building in Malaysia. It has also received the Malaysia’s Green Building Index (GBI) certification.
 
 
15 Oct 2012 MRCB’s PINTAR Schools visit KidZania as part of Educational Trip
A total of 100 students from MRCB’s PINTAR schools was treated to an educational trip the KidZania as part as its extracurricular programme besides motivational and academic programmes. At Kidzania, the Pintar students were treated to “playing grown-ups” aimed at enabling the students to experience real life activities that normal adult would normally go through i.e. going to work, use of money, and to be an independent individual.
 
 
15 Sep 2012 MRCB donates RM15k to the less fortunate at FT Hari Raya Open House Celebration
MRCB donates RM15 000 “duit raya” to 150 less fortunate people at the Federal Territories and Urban Wellbeing Adilfitri Open House Celebration. The monies were handed over by Pn. Nooraini Mohd Rashidi, Vice President of Property Development on behalf of MRCB.
 
 
15 Aug 2012 MRCB’s Sports and Recreational club donates RM8k to orphanage
The Sport and Recreation Club of MRCB, also known as SPARC, collected and donated RM8,000 as part of its contribution to the Silaturrahim Nurul Qana’ah Orphanage House. The donation was held in conjunction with its Majlis Berbuaka Puasa held at Platinum Sentral.
 
 
16 Jul 2012 Fire and Rescue Department Malaysia visit SSKL
The Fire and Rescue Department of Malaysia (BOMBA) visited Stesen Sentral Kuala Lumpur (SSKL) as part of its inspection visit cum familiarisation study. Personnel from Semasa Sentral Sdn Bhd, the Stesen manager of SSKL were at hand to brief the BOMBA team. The visit was to ensure premises in SSKL adhered to fire safety while getting familiar with the design and outlay of SSKL. This to coordinate and analyse the effectiveness of responds plan according to code of standards practice by SSKL.
 
 
20 Jun 2012 MRCB & Cisco Blood Donation Drive 2012
Malaysian Resources Corporation Berhad (MRCB), in collaboration with Cisco Systems Malaysia Sdn Bhd (Cisco) conducted a successful “Donate Blood. Save Lives” campaign at Sooka Sentral for the Kuala Lumpur Sentral community. The campaign managed to attract 94 people to donate their blood, easily achieving the campaign’s target of 50 units of blood.
 
 
15 Jun 2012 Korean Planners Conducts study tour of KL Sentral Development
MRCB welcomes personnel from the Korean Town Planners to Kuala Lumpur Sentral Development. The delegation comprising town planners from South Korea and students and professors from Korean university were briefed by personnel from MRCB. A walking tour was also organised where the Korean delegates were taken on a walking tour of the KL Sentral development.
 
 
12 Jun 2012 Jabatan Kerja Raya Visits Platinum Sentral
Representatives from Jabatan Kerja Raya (JKR) visited Platinum Sentral as part of their study visit to MRCB’s KL Sentral development. The JKR representatives were first were first briefed by personnel from MRCB before they were taken on a walking tour of the development. Special features within the Platinum Sentral buildings were highlighted during the walking tour, notably, the CISCO’s Smart+Connected Real Estate (S+CRE) solution and the sustainable features.
 
 
24 May 2012 MRCB officially opens Platinum Sentral
Platinum Sentral, the first Platinum-rated Building with Singapore’s BCA Green Mark in Malaysia, was officially opened by YBhg. Tan Sri Ahmad Fuad bin Ismail, the Mayor of Kuala Lumpur. Also certified with Malaysia’s Green Building Index (GDI), Platinum Sentral is also one of the first commercial buildings to utilise CISCO’s Smart+Connected Real Estate (S+CRE) solution in Malaysia, making it a truly unique, state-of-the-art, distinctive and green office campus, offering seamless connectivity, a creative working environment and contemporary business lifestyle.
 
 
7 May 2012 China Delegate visits MRCB
MRCB welcomed a delegation of 30 personnel from the People’s Republic of China to Kuala Lumpur Sentral. The delegation was first briefed by personnel from MRCB before they were taken on a walking tour of the development. 24 Apr 2012 Semasa Sentral 11th Anniversary
Semasa Sentral Sdn. Bhd., a subsidiary of Malaysian Resources Corporation Berhad (MRCB) celebrated its 11th anniversary as the station manager of Stesen Sentral Kuala Lumpur (SSKL). In conjunction with the commemorative event, it also held a staff recognition day where it recognised its front liner staffs with a special Staff Excellent Award. The award was presented by MRCB’s CEO, Datuk Mohamed Razeek Hussain.
 
 
3 Apr 2012 MRCB holds 41st AGM
Malaysian Resources Corporation Berhad (MRCB) held its 41st Annual General Meeting (AGM) at Hotel Istana, Kuala Lumpur, with more than 2,000 shareholders attending the meeting. After the briefing session, the Board of Directors and staffs socialised with the shareholders.
 
 
1 Apr 2012 Eastern Dispersal Link Expressway (EDL) Opens to traffic
The Eastern Dispersal Traffic (EDL) was officially opened to traffic by Puan Haryati Rofik, the Director of South Malaysian Highway Authority at the EDL Administration Office. She was accompanied by Datuk Mohamad Razeek Hussain, the CEO of MRCB. The expressway is a dual three-lane carriageway that stretchs from the Pandan interchange at the North-South Highway to the new Customs, Immigration and Quarantine (CIQ) complex, which is also officially known as the Bangunan Sultan Iskandar, located in Bukit Chagar.
 
 
31 Mar 2012 MRCB switches off lights in its property development for Earth Hour 2012
Entering its fourth year of participation in the global Earth Hour movement, Malaysian Resources Corporation Berhad (MRCB) switched off all non essential lights for one hour, in its building and property under its management, for one hour to bring awareness of the threat of global warming. This includes the iconic Kuala Lumpur Sentral development, comprising landmark office tower 1 Sentral - MRCB’s Headquarters and Malaysia’s largest and busiest transport hub, the iconic Stesen Sentral Kuala Lumpur as well as its Shah Alam property - Plaza Alam Sentral.
 
 
22 Mar 2012 Nottingham University Students visit KL Sentral’s Lot G & Kelana Jaya’s LRT sites
A group of students from the University of Nottingham, Malaysia Campus paid a study visit to KL Sentral development’s Lot G Retail Mall site to learn about works on construction sites while also learning on the sustainability aspect as well as the environment concern of the construction industry. The students were also brought to the Kelana Jaya LRT extension project (Package B) at Puchong where they were able to learn on safety aspect of the construction industry. The students’ visit was able to successfully increase the students’ knowledge on the construction industry through actual construction site visit activity.
 
 
20 Mar 2012 FT Minister launches groundbreaking of Little India’ multi-storey car park project
YB Dato’ Raja Nong Chik bin Dato’ Raja Zainal Abidin, Minister of Federal Territories and Urban Wellbeing, officially launched the development of the Little India’s multi-storey car park project with the Groundbreaking ceremony conducted at the Pines Bazaar site. The project is part o the Little India project aimed at resolving the lack of parking in the area while providing additional business opportunity to the community.
 
 
23 Feb 2012 MRCB win Special Organisation Achivement Category Award at MACA 2012
MRCB earned Special Organisation Achievement Category Award at Malaysia Achievement Award (MACA) 2012. The prestigious award was presented by Y. B. Dato’ Seri Haji Ahmad Husni b. Mohamad Hanadzlah, Second Minister of Finance in gala ceremony award at Double Tree Hotel by Hilton, Kuala Lumpur.
 
 
4 Feb 2012 CIMB CEO visit Lot A – CIMB Tower
CIMB Chief Executive Officer, Y.Bhg Dato’ Seri Mohd Nazir Razak, paid a working visit to Kuala Lumpur Sentral development, notably Lot A, as he visited and inspected on the progress of Lot A, the coming CIMB Investment Bank’s headquarters.
 
 
2 Feb 2012 MRCB ushers the coming of Chinese New Year with Lion Dances at 1 Sentral
Malaysian Resources Corporation Berhad (MRCB) sponsored two Lion Dances at Kuala Lumpur Sentral development to usher another year of prosperity for the Chinese community at Kuala Lumpur Sentral development. This year, the lion dance celebrations were conducted at Sooka Sentral and 1 Sentral building, signifying the bringing of wealth and prosperity for both businesses and people alike. Senior management personnel from MRCB were on hand to witness and usher the coming year with the throwing of “Ang Pow” or red packet containing money to the crowds.
 
 
30 Jan 2012 MRCB hands over Permai Psychiatric Hospital to Ministry of Health
Malaysian Resources Corporation Berhad (MRCB), represented by its Chief Executive Officer, Datuk Mohamed Razeek Hussain handed over the newly completed Permai Psychiatric Hospital, Johor Bahru, to representatives from the Ministry of Health at the “Majlis Penyerahan Projek Hospital Permai Johor Bahru”. The event was a symbolic gesture of the successful development of the country’s second largest psychiatric hospital worth RM550 million.
 
 
28 Jan 2012 MRCB sends contingent to Federal Day Parade
Malaysian Resources Corporation Berhad (MRCB) participated in the Federal Territory Day’s Parade day march by sending a contingent of 54 marchers to the Federal Territory Day Parade day. In conforming to the theme of the event, ‘Rakyat Bersatu Wilayah Persekutuan Maju’, the MRCB contingent utilise their corporate uniforms to represent unity and togetherness.
 
 
19 Jan 2012 MRCB Contributes RM30k to Persatuan Kebajikan Anak Melayu Pulau Pinang
Datuk Mohamed Razeek Hussain, the Chief Executive Officer of Malaysian Resources Corporation Berhad (MRCB) donated RM30,000.00 to Persatuan Kebajikan Anak Melayu Pulau Pinang, at the Malam Seri Mutiara 2012 charity event. The event, held at Hotel Royale Chulan, Kuala Lumpur, saw the TYT Tun Dato’ Seri Utama (Dr.) Haji Abdul Rahman bin Haji Abbas, accepting the donation from MRCB on behalf of Persatuan Kebajikan Anak Melayu Pulau Pinang. The other guests of honour include YABhg. Tun Abdullah Ahmad Badawi, YB. Tan Sri Nor Yakcop and YB. Dato’ Raja Nong Chik.
