Pursuant to the KLSE query dated 1 June 2000 on the Article Entitled: "Dai-Ichi in talks to buy B2B portal", which appearing in The Star, Business Section, page 5, Thursday, 1 June 2000.
The Board of Directors would like to inform that the negotiation is still at the preliminary stage. The Company is not in a position to disclose further information yet but will make official announcement once the deal has been finalised.

Thursday, 1 June 2000, a copy of which is enclosed for your reference.
In particular, we would like to draw your attention to the underlined
sentences, which are reproduced as follows:-
"DAI-ICHI Industries Bhd is negotiating to buy a controlling stake in a
regional business-to-business (B2B) portal for between RM15mil to RM20mil, a
source close to the company said."
"The deal should be sealed within the next 10 days and payment for the
controlling stake would be satisfied via a part cash, part share payment, the
source said."
