We refer to your letter dated 18th September 2000 on the above articles.


Please be informed that discussions on a possible joint venture between the Company and FlightSafety Boeing Training International (FSBTI) are still on-going. The Company shall make the relevant announcement in accordance with the KLSE Main Board Listing Requirements upon finalization of same.

The Company also wishes to inform that it is not in discussion with Aerolineas for a strategic partnership as reported in the said article.

We refer to the above news articles appearing in the Business Times, page 12,
on Monday, 18 September 2000 and on Bloomberg on Saturday, 16 September 2000, a
copy each is enclosed for your reference.
In particular, we would like to draw your attention to the underlined

"FlightSafety Boeing Training International is in the last lap of its
negotiations with Malaysia Airlines to set up an Asian regional simulator
training centre in Kuala Lumpur. The Company expects to wrap up negotiations in
October."
