Cahya Mata Sarawak Berhad (CMSB) wishes to announce that CMSB is not aware of any contracts to be secured by Utama Banking Group Berhad, a subsidiary company, from the Bakun project.

However, PPES Works (Sarawak) Sdn Bhd, a subsidiary of CMSB, had been invited to submit a tender to build a coffer-dam. CMS Cement Sdn Bhd, a wholly owned subsidiary of CMSB and the sole cement producer in Sarawak, and CMS Steel Berhad, a subsidiary of CMSB, are expected to benefit from sales of construction materials, which include cement and steel products, from the construction of the Bakun hydroelectric dam.
