We refer to your letter dated 28 July 2000 in respect of the above matter.
On behalf of SBB, we wish to advise on the following:
1. Based on the latest audited accounts of PFB for financial year ended 31 December 1999, the audited net tangible assets and profit after tax of PFB are RM18,919,000 and RM3,646,000 respectively.
2. None of the Directors or substantial shareholders of SBB or persons connected to them, insofar as the Directors of SBB are aware, has any interest, direct or indirect, in the Proposed PFB Acquisition.
3. In relation to the query on the details of borrowing for financing the Proposed PFB Acquisition, SBB is not in a position to provide such information at this point in time.
Query Letter Contents :
We refer to the announcement dated 27 June 2000 in respect of the aforesaid
matter.
In this connection, kindly furnish the Exchange with the following additional
information for public release:
(1) The details of borrowing for financing the Proposed Acquisition.
(2) The net tangible assets and net profits of PFB based on the latest audited
accounts.
(3)Whether any directors, substantial shareholders and/or persons connected to
the
directors and/or substantial shareholders have any interest, direct or
indirect, in the
Proposed Acquisition.

date hereof.
