Your letter dated 27 November 2000 and the teleconversation between your Encik Zul Faaizin and our Ms Jenny Wong yesterday evening refers.
Please take note that the Company has no knowledge and/or information as regards to the statement "... Ishak is said to use it to buy the PUB shares from Idris...." as any sale of shares in the Company does not involve the Company.
Accordingly, the Company is respectfully of the opinion that the abovesaid statement as reported, is substantially irrelevant to the Company.
Nevertheless, the Company has forwarded your letter aforesaid to Datuk Haji Ishak bin Ismail for his comments.

We refer to the above news article appearing in Business Times, Companies &
Markets section, page 14 , on Monday, 27 November 2000.
In particular, we would like to draw your attention to the following sentences,
which are reproduced as follows:-
"... Ishak is said to use it to buy the PUB shares from Idris."
"Upon completion of the S & P agreement with Idris over the PUB shares and KFCH
safely under his arm, Ishak is believed to be planning to move into the halal
food sector using PUB as the vehicle ..."
