We refer to your letter dated 6 February 2001. We wish to inform the Exchange that we are currently working out the projects for 2001 which will be finalised and submitted to Bank Negara Malaysia for approval by end of this month.

In addition, we also wish to inform that one of our non-executive director, Mr David John Beynon is deemed connected with John Hancock International Holdings, Inc by virtue of him being the President and Chief Executive Officer of a company which is wholly-owned by John Hancock International Holdings, Inc.

We refer to your announcement dated 31 January 2001 in respect of the aforesaid
matter.
In this connection, kindly furnish the Exchange with the following additional
information for public release: -
The particulars of projects undertaken/to be undertaken.
2. The effect of the projects on the Company, which includes the effect of the
projects on the earnings per share and net tangible assets per share.
3. A statement by the board of directors stating whether the projects is in the
best interest of the Company, and where a directors disagrees with such
statement, a statement by the director setting out the reasons and the factors
taken into consideration in forming that opinion.
4. The estimated time frame for the completion of the projects.
5. Names of interested directors in the projects.

Please furnish the Exchange with your reply within (2) market days from the
date hereof.
