Following a transformational change of
business direction undertaken in 2010, the Perisai Group today
owns a fleet of strategic oil & gas vessels and facilities
supporting the exploration, development and production phases of
offshore oil & gas fields both in and out of Malaysia. Our Group
is organized into four (4) business segments, namely:
Production Division – owns one (1) Floating Production,
Storage & Offloading (FPSO) vessel, Perisai Kamelia, and one
(1) Mobile Offshore Production Unit (MOPU), Rubicone.
Drilling Division – owns one (1) Jack-Up Drilling Rig,
Perisai Pacific 101 (ordered two (2) more Jack-Up Drilling
Offshore Support Vessel Division – owns nine (9)
Offshore Support Vessels (OSV), comprising three (3) anchor
handling tug supply vessels, three (3) anchor handling tugs and
three (3) crew boats.
Offshore Construction Division – owns one (1) Derrick
Lay Barge, Enterprise 3.
As part of the change in 2010, our Group is now focusing on
the Production and Drilling segments. Perisai entered the
FPSO business segment in 2013 through the successful acquisition
of equity interests in companies owning and operating a FPSO. The
FPSO, Perisai Kamelia which is currently contracted to Hess for a
firm period of three (3) years successfully commenced its
operations in November 2013.
In addition, Perisai ventured into the
offshore drilling segment with the construction of three (3) high
specification jack-up drilling rigs with the first rig, Perisai
Pacific 101 delivered in mid-2014. The second and third rigs are
expected to be delivered in 2H 2015 and 2H 2016 respectively.
This new business segment is expected to expand Perisai's
business in Malaysia and ASEAN, with Perisai Pacific 101 having
secured its first drilling contract from Petronas Carigali for a
period of three (3) years.
