Contents :

Further to our response to the Exchange's query dated 2 March 2001 (ref: SW-010302-60706), we wish to provide the Exchange with the following additional information:-


a. In relation to the press statement "....the consortium had agreed to provide 800 billion rupiah (RM328 million) for land acquisition....", we wish to inform that it was discussed that 800 billion rupiah (RM328 million) be provided by the Malaysian consortium for land acqusition and the land cost would form part and parcel of the total project costs.

b. In relation to the press statement "...of which the Malaysian consortium had agreed to boot 1.2 trillion rupiah....", we wish to clarify that the 1.2 trillion rupiah is part of the total project financing cost. The portion to be financed by the Malaysian consortium is still under discussion.

c. In relation to the press statement "The Malaysian investors would own 53 per cent in JLJ....", we wish to inform that the equity participation of the Malaysian consortium in JLJ is currently still under discussion.

Appropriate announcement will be released to the Exchange once the negotiations and terms are finalised.

We refer to the above news article appearing in New Straits Times, Business
Section, page 25, on Friday, 2 March 2001, a copy of which is enclosed for your
reference.
In particular, we would like to draw your attention to the underlined
sentences, which are reproduced as follows:-
1. "The Indonesian Bank Restructuring Agency (Ibra) has named a Malaysian
consortium led by DRB-Hicom Bhd as the preferred bidder to take over the
Jakarta Outer Ring Road toll project ..."

2. "... the consortium had agreed to provide 800 billion rupiah (RM328 million)
for land acquisition which was supposed to come from the Government, Syahrial
said."

3. "The Malaysian consortium comprises two subsidiaries of DRB-Hicom -- Perspec
Bhd and Comtrac Bhd ..."
