As previously announced on 20 May 2015, Protasco Berhad’s subsidiary, Protasco Trading Sdn Bhd (“PTSB”) has filed a legal suit at the Shah Alam High Court against PT Goldchild Integritas Abadi (“PT Goldchild”), an Indonesian company and Ooi Kock Aun for inter-alia a declaration that the Coal Supply Agreement dated 4 February 2013 is void and in breach of the Companies Act, 1965 and for a refund of the Deposit paid. 

Ooi Kock Aun had on 5 March 2015 filed an application to strike out PTSB’s legal suit. The hearing date for this application originally fixed on 23 June 2015 is vacated and is now fixed to be heard on 14 July 2015.

PT Goldchild had on 8 May 2015 filed an application to stay this legal proceedings pending arbitration. A hearing date for this application is also fixed on 14 July 2015.

Trial dates of this legal suit which fixed on 28 September 2015 and 29 September 2015 is maintained. A final case management date is fixed on 7 September 2015.
