The letter from the Exchange dated 19 October 2000 refers.
We wish to inform the Exchange that the reporter from the STAR newspaper misunderstood what was stated by the Company's Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer, Mr Yam Kong Choy. Mr Yam mentioned to the reporter that the turnover for Sunrise Berhad for the financial year ended 30 June 2000 of approximately RM150 million, (which was also stated in the Sunrise 2000/2001 Annual Report) is an increase of 8% from the previous financial year ended 30 June 1999.

We refer to the above news article appearing in The Star, Business Section,
page 3, on Thursday, 19 October 2000.
In particular, we would like to draw your attention to the following sentence
of the above article which is reproduced as follows:-
