Reference is made to your letter (ref:JL-000417-50590) dated 17 April 2000 and our reply (ref:AIV/KLSE/MD/1-19/4/2000) dated 19 April 2000 and our telephone conversation with your Mr Tan Yew Eng (Senior Manager, Listing Operations) this morning pertaining to the proposed sale of shares.

Currently Datuk Sarip bin Hamid, Safar bin Hj Awang and Ab Razak bin Harun respectively hold 17.17%, 17.17% and 17.78% each of the issued capital of the company. They have proposed to dispose off 6.67% each of the issued capital of the company to Jelang Ikhlas Sdn Bhd (Company No. 505151-H) a company incorporated in Malaysia with its registered office at No. 6, 1st Floor, Jalan SS2/61, 47300 Petaling Jaya, subject always to the Foreign Investment Committee ("FIC"), Ministry of International Trade and Industry ("MITI") and Securities Commission ("SC").

After the proposed sale to Jelang Ikhlas Sdn Bhd, Datuk Sarip bin Hamid, Safar bin Hj Awang and Ab Razak bin Harun would respectively hold 10.50%, 10.50% and 11.11% each of the issued capital of the company.

We refer to the above article appearing in The Star, Business Section Page 5,
on Monday, 17 April 2000, a copy of which is enclosed for your reference.
In particular, we would like to draw your attention to the underlined sentence
which is reproduced as follows:-
"Trading volume on the counter picked up recently on talk that a prominent
businessman had bought over a stake in the company and asset injection may take
place."
