Further to the Company’s announcement dated 2 August 2000 pertaining to the above, the Board of Directors of MBf-H wishes to announce the following additional information:

(i) Advent shall not assume any liabilities pursuant to the Proposed Disposal;

(ii) The original cost of investment to MACC-L for the of 914,850 MBf Card Shares representing 17.38% equity interest therein is RM8.861 million being the purchase consideration on 7 August 1993; and

(iii) Advent is acting as General Partner for the private equity funds, which will acquire the MBf Card Shares from MBf Asia Capital Corporation Limited and MBf Capital. These funds are formed as limited partnerships where Advent is the General Partner and hence there is no board’s representation.


This announcement is dated 9 August 2000.
