Description	TH PLANTATIONS BERHAD ("THP" or the "Company") Proposed Issue of Sukuk Murabahah under a Sukuk Murabahah Programme of up to RM1.5 Billion in Nominal Value ("Sukuk Murabahah Programme")
1. INTRODUCTION THP is pleased to announce that the Company proposes to establish the Sukuk Murabahah Programme. Hong Leong Islamic Bank Berhad and RHB Investment Bank Berhad have been appointed as the Joint Principal Advisers, Joint Lead Arrangers and Joint Lead Managers for the Sukuk Murabahah Programme. In relation to the above, THP has on 12 September 2012 obtained approval from Securities Commission vide their letter dated 11 September 2012 for the Sukuk Murabahah Programme. 2. THE SUKUK MURABAHAH PROGRAMME The Sukuk Murabahah Programme shall have a tenure of up to fifteen (15) years from the date of the first issuance of the Sukuk Murabahah. The proceeds raised from the Sukuk Murabahah Programme shall be utilised for the following purposes: i. to pay in full THP's Commodity Murabahah Term Financing-i facilities; ii. to finance capital expenditure requirements; and iii. to finance any other general corporate purposes of THP and/or its subsidiaries. The Sukuk Murabahah Programme shall be unrated. This announcement is dated 13 September 2012.
