Refer to the Exchange's query dated 19 December 2003.
The Board of Directors of Kemayan Corporation Berhad ("KCB or the Company") hereby announce the following additional information in respect of the Writ of Summons served on the Company and its wholly owned subsidiary, Puncak Gigih Sdn Bhd ("PGSB") :-
1. The interest rate on the amount claimed for, if any.
The interest rate on the amount claimed is 8% per annum.
2. The Operational and financial impact on the group, if any, arising from the writ of summons against PGSB and KCB.
The solicitors are in the process of appealing the case and as the claim has not been adjudicated by the Court, there is no immediate loss as at this stage except for legal fee to be incurred in defending the case.
3. Hearing date for the application for Stay of Execution.
The hearing date has not been fixed by the Court of Johor Bahru.
