We refer to your letter dated 2 August 2000 and the Business Times article of even date.
We wish to confirm that Sunway Holdings Incorporated Berhad (“Sunway”) together with its 50%:50% Joint Venture partner; Barisan Minda Sdn Bhd under the Company called Sistem Lingkaran-Lebuhraya Sdn Bhd (“SILK”) is currently in the process of reviving the Kajang Traffic Dispersal Ring Road project.
SILK has appointed Deutsche Bank (Malaysia) Bhd as the Lead Manager to raise about RM720 million from the private debts securities market. We are at the final stage of documentation for the bond issuance.
The Board has not made any press statement pending signing of final documentation.

We refer to the above article appearing in the Business Times, page 1,
Wednesday, 2 August 2000, a copy of which is enclosed for your reference.
In particular, we would like to draw your attention to the underlined sentence,
which is reproduced as follows:-
"SUNWAY Holdings Inc Bhd (Sunway) is believed to be working on a RM800 million
private debt securities exercise aimed at reviving the operations of Sistem
Lingkaran Lebuhraya Kajang Sdn Bhd (SILK)."
