We refer to our announcement made on 13 April 2001 and the reply to the query letter ref: KA-010414-34841 dated 16 April 2001 from the Kuala Lumpur Stock Exchange on 18 April 2001 in respect of the above. As requested, we are pleased to set out below our reply to the Exchange on the additional queries raised on the following points:-

4) The basis for arriving at the purchase consideration of the 600 shares in Komark Thailand, including the terms of any arrangement for payment on a deferred basis.

The purchase consideration was settled by cash on a one-off basis. There was no arrangement for payment on a deferred basis.

7) Whether the Subscription and Acquisition is subject to the approval of shareholders and the relevant government authorities.

The Subscription and Acquisition ("transaction") are not subject to approval of shareholders. However, approval has been obtained for the transaction from the Department of Commercial Registration in Thailand.

Query Letter Contents :

We refer to your announcement dated 13 April 2001.
In this connection, kindly furnish the Exchange with the following additional
information for public release:-
1) Whether the directors, substantial shareholders and/or persons connected
with them have any interest, direct or indirect in the Subscription and
Acquisition and the nature and extent of their interests.
2)The equity interest held by GLLM in KTCL before the Acquisition and
Subscription.
3) The subscription price of the 40,000 new ordinary shares in KTCL, the basis
for the subscription price and how it will be satisfied, including the terms of
any arrangement for payment on a deferred basis.
4) The basis for arriving at the purchase consideration of 600 shares in KTCL,
including the terms of any arrangement for payment on a deferred basis.
5) The date of the Acquisition and Subscription.
6) The effects of the Subscription and Acquisition on the earnings per share
and net tangible assets per share of your group.
7) Whether the Subscription and Acquisition is subject to the approval of
shareholders and the relevant government authorities.







Kindly furnish the Exchange with your reply within two (2) market days from the
date hereof.
