Further to the announcement made by Hwa Tai Industries Berhad ("Hwa Tai" or "the Company") on 13 May 2000 with regard to the above subject, the Company hereby clarifies that the exchange of the 4,795,000 shares in Anson Perdana Berhad were reversed for a total cash consideration of RM22,435,000/- of which RM5,610,150/- (equivalent to net book value) had been received and recorded in the financial results for the year ended 31 December 1999 and the balance RM16,824,850/- is payable to the Company on or before 30 June 2000.
