We refer to your letter dated 24 October 2005. MRCB has, in our previous announcement dated 13 May 2005, stated that we continue to be committed to create value at and with UDA. Further, we have confirmed that the Board remains open to consider any viable and acceptable proposals in the future.
Pursuant to the said previous announcement, MRCB and UDA management have continued to explore possibilities to enhance the long term growth prospects of both companies and are in discussions towards that end. Accordingly, MRCB and UDA will make the necessary announcements to the Bursa if and when such discussions are successfully concluded between the two parties.

We refer to the above article appearing in The Edge, page 1 on Monday, 24
October 2005, a copy of which is enclosed for your reference.
In particular, we would like to draw your attention to the underlined
