In line with the exercise to streamline the Group’s operation, Malaysian Resources Corporation Berhad (“MRCB” or “the Company”) has undertaken a house-keeping exercise to wind-up the dormant companies within the Group. Proceedings have commenced to effect members’ voluntary winding-up on the following 3 subsidiaries of the Company which are dormant pursuant to Section 254(1)(b) of the Companies Act, 1965 on 8 February 2012:

The subsidiaries have been dormant and/or ceased operations and there are no plans to activate the said companies. The exercise would enable the Company to conserve the Company’s resources in monitoring and maintaining the dormant subsidiaries on a regular basis.

Mr Teoh Wuey Sze and Mr Yap Yue Loong of Russell Bedford Malaysia Business Advisory Sdn Bhd of 10^th Floor, Bangunan Yee Seng, 15 Jalan Raja Chulan, 50200 Kuala Lumpur have been appointed to act as joint and several liquidators for the purpose of the winding-up exercise.

The winding-up of the above-mentioned companies will not have any financial and operational impact on the Company and will not have any effect on the earnings and net assets of MRCB.
