Reference is made to our announcement on 2 May 2018 in relation to the appointment of MRCB Gamuda Consortium (the “Consortium”) as the Project Delivery Partner for the works for the northern section of the Kuala Lumpur-Singapore High Speed Rail by MyHSR Corporation Sdn Bhd (“MyHSR”).
The Company wishes to announce that the Consortium has today received a letter from MyHSR to suspend any further negotiations on the Articles of Agreements, Conditions of Contract and Annexures following the announcement by the Government of Malaysia on the cancellation of the KL-SG HSR Project. Consequently, the signing of the Articles of Agreements and Conditions of Contract scheduled on 1 June 2018 will no longer take place.
