As previously announced on 2 October 2019, Tey Por Yee and Ooi Kock Aun had filed an application to strike out the Kuala Lumpur High Court Suit No.: 22NCC-362-09/2014. The said application was heard on 27 August 2020 and dismissed by the High Court Judge on 10 September 2020 with costs of RM25,000.00 to be paid by Tey Por Yee and Ooi Kock Aun to Protasco Berhad.

Being dissatisfied, Tey Por Yee and Ooi Kock Aun have filed an appeal to the Court of Appeal against the decision of the High Court Judge dated 10 September 2020 (“the Appeal”). The Appeal at the Court of Appeal was heard in part on 30 August 2021 and continued for hearing on 11 January 2022. The Appeal was dismissed by the Court of Appeal on 11 January 2022 with costs of RM30,000.00 to be paid to the Company by Tey Por Yee and Ooi Kock Aun.  

The Company wishes to announce that Tey Por Yee and Ooi Kock Aun have filed an application for leave to appeal to the Federal Court against the decision of the Court of Appeal (“Leave Application”).
