Reference is made to the Company’s announcement made on 5 September 2013. The Board of Directors of Sunway wishes to further announce that Sunway PMI-Pile Construction Sdn Bhd (“SPMI”) which is a subsidiary of Sunway Construction Sdn Bhd, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Sunway Holdings Sdn Bhd, which is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Sunway, has on 13 January 2014 received a sealed Order for winding-up made by the High Court of Malaya in Kuala Lumpur on 29 November 2013 pursuant to Section 218 (1) (e) & (i) of the Companies Act, 1965. The High Court also gave an order for the Official Receiver of Malaysia to be appointed as the liquidator of SPMI. There is no financial nor operational impact on Sunway Group arising from the winding up of SPMI as SPMI has ceased operation and is dormant. This announcement is dated 13 January 2014. | |
