We wish to announce that Geneba Dua Sdn Bhd (“Geneba Dua”), a subsidiary of Sunway, had on 16 June 2014, applied to the Companies Commission of Malaysia (“CCM”) for striking off pursuant to Section 308 of the Companies Act, 1965.

The CCM had replied via its letter dated 25 August 2014, which was received on 2 September 2014, enclosing a notice informing that at the expiration of 3 months from the date of the notice, Geneba Dua’s name will, unless cause is shown to the contrary, be struck off the register by the CCM and Geneba Dua will be dissolved.

Geneba Dua is a dormant company which was incorporated on 17 March 1997. The authorised and paid-up share capital of Geneba Dua are RM100,000/- and RM2/- respectively.

The striking off of Geneba Dua has no material financial effect on Sunway.

None of the directors or substantial shareholders of Sunway or persons connected with them has any interest, whether direct or indirect in the aforesaid striking off.
