The Board of Directors of Sunway is pleased to announce that Sunway Construction Sdn Bhd (“SunCon”), a subsidiary of Sunway Construction Group Berhad, which in turn is a subsidiary of Sunway has on 4 June 2015, accepted the Letter of Award issued by SA Architects Sdn Bhd, in relation to the construction and completion of main building work for the proposed development of 1 block of commercial building comprising:

• 3-storey of semi basement car park from Level B2 to LG;
• 3-storey retail space comprising 46 shop units from Level G to Level 2;
• 4-storey office space comprising 228 office units from Level 3 to Level 6;
• 4-storey retail space from Level G to Level 3;
• 1 block of 27-storey service apartment comprising 318 units from Level 9 to Level 35 together with 5 levels of podium car park;

from Level 3 to Level 7 and public amenities at Level 8 at podium level together with a substation on the land held under Lot 62637 (Parcel CP3), Jalan Lagoon Selatan, Bandar Sunway, Mukim Damansara, Daerah Petaling, Selangor Darul Ehsan for Sunway South Quay Sdn Bhd, for the sum of RM243,691,000.00 (“Project”).

The Project will be divided into 2 zones. It shall commence on 25 June 2015 with the targeted completion date for Zone 1 and Zone 2 on 28 February 2017 and 31 March 2018 respectively. The Project is expected to contribute positively to the earnings of Sunway Group from the financial year ending 31 December 2015 onwards.

The Project is subject to normal construction risk of materials price fluctuation. However, with the past experiences and expertise of SunCon in construction projects, this risk could be mitigated.

None of the directors or substantial shareholders of Sunway or persons connected with them has any interest, whether direct or indirect in the Project.
