We wish to announce that Sunway Quarry (Melaka)  Sdn Bhd (“SQM”), a subsidiary of Sunway, had on 23 October 2015, applied to the Companies Commission of Malaysia (“CCM”) for striking off pursuant to Section 308 of the Companies Act, 1965.

The CCM had replied via its letter dated 25 April 2016, which was received on 9 May 2016, enclosing a notice informing that at the expiration of 3 months from the date of the notice, SQM’s name will, unless cause is shown to the contrary, be struck off the register by the CCM and SQM will be dissolved.

SQM is a dormant company which was incorporated on 10 March 1983. The authorised and paid-up share capital of SQM are RM10,000,000/- and RM7,490,000/- respectively.

The striking off of SQM has no material financial effect on Sunway.

None of the directors or substantial shareholders of Sunway or persons connected with them has any interest, whether direct or indirect in the aforesaid striking off.
